Okay so ed and al go to their friends house back in the village that they grew up in. They r called granny and maridith or something i forgot. The reason they go there is that they got their armor messed up and granny and her granddaughter are excellent mechanics. They go and stay for a while and you learn about the story abit more. They leave and go to a place called central with their bodygaurd major. They see that a big library is burned down. Their sad because they needed an important document from their to uncover the mysteries about a special stone. They track down a know it all book worm who they think might be able to help. She confirms that the book was burned and ed and al are really sad. But she tells them that she actually read the book. And she has a photo graphic memory. So after five days she rewrites the book word for word and the two bodygaurds (major left) are confused. For the documents look like a regular cook book. But ed and al explain that alchemists write there adventures in a secret code tlhat no one knows about. Ed pays the book worm a large amount of money and leaves. After a week ed still cant crack the code. Finally he is able to but the results are horrible. In order to create the philosiphers stone there has to be human sacrifices!! The nosy bodygaurds let out the secret to major and he wants to help. He gives the two brothers information on a laboratory connected to a prison. They are supposed to stay at their quarters but leave for the lab. Their each brother finds a villain which they try to fight. They each win (even though the villains are just a suit of armor connected with a soul). In the end before the defeated bad guy is about to give top secret info to ed the three ultimate non human baddies go and kill him. Then the book ends. There is a little side story about who would win full metal ed or flame roy mustang. (in the end Mustang wins!)
I just got and read the Fullmetal Alchemist manga, volume 3, and I loved it. Yes, I know, it's kind of sad that I'm only on the third volume of the manga but I just really started to get into FMA. (And, God, do you know the price of one cheap manga that I can read in an hour?!) For anyone that hasn't ever read FMA, I recommend buying the first two manga to really get into it. Plus Thomas and the gang never let me read any of their manga... those jerks. Well, that was a while ago. Anyways, if you want to know what the third one is about, then scroll down.
